	Fable Lodge is a wonderfully designed gate lodge in an elevated position at the entrance to Glenville village. It combines modern facilities with old fashioned character and charm. This self catering holiday home offers spacious accommodation for eight guests. It is an ideal location for touring Southern Ireland, being within 7 minutes of the M50 and just 15 minutes from Cork City.

	Interior



	Fable Lodge is newly built in traditional style. It replaced the original gate lodge to Glenville Manor House, dating back to 1750. A step to the entrance leads into the spacious beamed living room with an open fire in a cast-iron antique fireplace. This comfortable room has rugs on a wooden floor, a wood panelled ceiling, galleried landing and French doors leading to the kitchen/dining-room. The large beamed dining-room has a wood-burning stove. The spacious well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen area has a slate floor, full range of white goods, coffee machine, breakfast bar and Belfast sink. Beyond this is the utility room with automatic washing machine and tumble drier. Also on the ground floor is a large sun room, two double bedrooms and a twin-bedded room - each with wooden floor. There is also a bathroom/W.C. with shower attachment and a shower room/W.C. Upstairs, via open-tread stairs is another double bedroom. This contains a 6 foot bed and has en-suite shower room/W.C. Facilities include initial fuel for the open fire and wood-burning stove - thereafter available locally. Travel cot available. Duvets are provided with linen and towels.

	Outside

	Here there are spacious gardens, a patio with furniture and a built-in stone barbecue. Ample parking.

	Local area

	The village is a short stroll with shops 100 yards distant, a pub with live music 2-3 nights a week, a local supermarket and facilities for handball and squash. Ardou Park lies 1 mile away with forest walks and trout fishing on the River Bride. Mallow and Fermoy (12 miles) have 18-hole golf courses. Cork City, with an abundance of restaurants, a cinema and shopping, is just 15 minutes drive. Pub grub is served in most local pubs
